                                                    3 Hours Real Estate Legal Issues                                                          

Real estate transactions often involve disclosure decisions that seem routine at the time but can later become the basis for significant litigation. This course examines how sellers, real estate professionals, and investors can become entangled in fraud, nondisclosure, negligent misrepresentation, and consumer fraud claims arising from residential and commercial real estate transactions. Participants will learn the elements of common law fraud, Arizona disclosure requirements, the role of material defects and latent conditions, and the limits of contractual protections such as "as-is" clauses. Through practical examples and real-world scenarios, the course will provide guidance on identifying potential risks, understanding common defenses, and implementing best practices to reduce the likelihood of post-closing disputes and fraud allegations.

This class will be conducted via Zoom video conferencing. Zoom information to join the class will be shared in a reminder email the day before and the day of class.

Important Technical and Format Details
To verify your attendance and identity, you must use video and display your first and last name through Zoom for the course duration. Please treat the remote class as you would a live in-person class. Students may not use a mobile device to complete the course. You must be stationary and sitting at a desk/table as you would be in a live class. The instructor/monitor must be able to maintain visual and audio contact with you at all times. The cut-off time for CE Credit is 10 minutes after the start of the class. If you join after the 10-minute cutoff, you have joined too late for CE Credit.
