Marissa Garnett serves as the Town of Queen Creek’s Economic Development Project Manager, and has over 14 years of experience in planning and economic development. Marissa has been recognized as the Economic Developer of the Year- Medium Community from the Arizona Association for Economic Development, a 40 under 40 in Economic Development by DCI and Jorgenson Pace, Inc. and the Young Economic Developer of the Year by the International Economic Development Council (IEDC).
Marissa uses her passion for data analysis to promote Queen Creek investment opportunities in all industries, from retail to industrial, as Queen Creek transforms with unprecedented growth. Marissa assisted LG Energy Solution throughout their site selection process; the company is making a historic $3.2 billion investment in Queen Creek, bringing thousands of high-tech manufacturing jobs to the community with their electric vehicle battery manufacturing facility.
Marissa holds a Master’s degree of Business Administration from Benedictine University, a Master’sdegree in Urban and Environmental Planning from Arizona State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish from Clark University. She is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), a certified planner (AICP), and an Arizona Economic Development Professional (AZED Pro).
